Museum Night Afterparties Centrale Bibliotheek (Central Library) Dancing at the library! Whether you prefer to relax, or party, after midnight the first floor of the library is yours! DJ Individualism combines Detroit House with Dubstep and Jazzsounds (midnight-0:45 pm). The youngest winner ever of the Grand Prize presents an awesome mix on stage. DJ collective Tabass-co consists of three DJ's (Alex Montoya, Don Moussa and The Soulslammer), each with their own sound and personality (0:45-2:30 pm). They mix old and new records, resulting in a mash up from Afro, Funk and Latin to Nu-grooves and broken beats. There are dazzling live performances by Boris Deluxe (sax) and Trish Preston. You will not only hear the music, you can also see and feel it. During the Museum Night, Beach pavillion Buiten at the Zwarte Pad will be transformed into a musical playground which can be used for almost anything. Seven paintings by local artists, showing the richness of local art movements and genres, are to be revealed. Afterwards, you will be invited to visit the Museum Night Afterparty with American performers Teebs and Jeremiah Jae and Australian Sofie Loizou. Teebs comes from L.A. and is a protégé of Flying Lotus, who described his music as holiday on an island. Jeremiah Jae is not only a musician, but also a sculptor and producer. Slow Motion on Het Plein After New York, London and Venice, the Netherlands can finally experience the exclusive and breathtaking dancevideo projection Slow Dancing in dance city The Hague. A wave of enthusiasm has emerged in the dancing world, following the first showing of Slow Dancing in New York. Never before, dancers and choreographers have been portrayed in such a spectacular way. It is also the first time that the characteristic muscle power of a dancer's body has been revealed so fabulously. Audiences are breathless. Slow Dancing consists of a series of life-size video portraits showing the tiniest details. The portraits have been recorded with a high-speed camera, which enables the recording of movements and play back in a super slow motion mode. Already, millions of viewers have been fascinated by these impressive portraits. Now it's our turn. |
